ABOUT ME

I live in Leland, North Carolina, and work in acrylics, pastels, mixed media and collage.  As a semi-abstract/abstract painter, my work is often inspired by the rhythms and patterns of landscapes or based on personal reactions to subject matter central to the human heart.  I work expressively most of the time, which means I begin an artwork with an emotion to be expressed. My paintings often develop without a plan, a reference photo or a specific palette, and I let the materials used lead me to the end result.

​I am self-taught and began painting three years ago. Since moving to North Carolina at the end of 2020, my work has been exhibited in It’s All Art 2021 and 2022 (Leland), Art Fall 2021 (Wilmington), and the Cameron Museum (Wilmington).
